Hooton Park is in Ellsemere Port, and another GREAT track when you are starting karting. I have been ‘testing’ here plenty of times, but as of October 2020, only raced twice.
I have only raced here since getting my MSUK licence, but Hooton Park also run an IKR (Independent Kart Racing) series too, which you can only take part in without and MSUK licence. This makes is more affordable, and keeps it true grass roots karting.
Jon at Hooton Park is awesome, and will do whatever he can to help. You’ll also find Modus Motorsport trackside at many of the events so you can pick up any spares you need whilst you are there.
2020 Results – Cheshire Kart Club (MSUK)
Hooton Park runs IKR as well as MSUK racing. As I have a licence I can only race at the Cheshire Kart Club events. I do think that this is fair so that non-licenced drivers are able to race against other drivers with the same skill level.

Testing a Micromax
I was really lucky that I got to test a Micromax at Hooton. I did this at the end of a Saturday so it didn’t interfere with race day. David at Modus Motorsport sorted this out for me. You can read more about the Micromax HERE.
I mentioned it in my blog about Wombwell, but I do recommend you run with novice plates for your first few races. This means the other drivers should give you a little more space. Please check the colours for your class – the ones below are for the IAME Cadet class.
You can buy them from Zip North HERE
I believe you can sit your ARKS at Hooton too. Get in touch with Jon HERE.
